South East Senator Elect Demand Tenth Senate Presidency

Senator elect from the South East region have demanded the zoning of the tenth senate presidency to the region.

The senators in a communique issued after a meeting in Abuja, resolved to support APC aspirants from the region, and had expanded negotiations with other well meaning senators on the issue.

They asked president elect to be sensitive to the times in Nigeria,and promote equity, unity, and fairness to the tripod of nigeria, which according to them are the hausa, igbo and Yoruba.

The south east senators also urged the APC to shun primordial and political interest as well as the winner-take-all syndrome.

Senators-elect at the meeting included Orji Uzor Kalu; Victor Umeh; Osita Izunazo; Tony Nwoye; Kelvin Chukwu; Osita Ngwu; Ezenwa Onyewuchi, and Tony Nwuye.

Others are Ndubueze, Ifenayi Uba and Okey Ezea.
