Soludo Cries Out Over Inherited Debts and Paltry Sum In Anambra Coffers

The new Anambra state governor, Professor Charles Soludo, has cried out on the deplorable state of finance of the state and the inherited debts from the Obiano Admnistration.

Soludo, who assumed office last Thursday said he met between n300 million and n400 million in the state coffers as at December 31, 2021.

The former CBN governor speaking on a television programme, also claimed that he inherited debts amounting to 100 billion naira.

He said the account would be further reconciled from January 2022 to date to get an update on the state finance.

Willie Obiano was arrested by economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) at Lagos airport, on his way to the US, hours after handing over to Soludo in Awka.

Obiano was arrested over his handling of sure-p funds and security vote.
