A sixty-year old well digger, Mallam Bala and his thirty five-year old son, Sanusi Bala have suffocated to death in a deep well in Kano state.
The tragic incident occurred at Sabo Gariam Bauchi in Wudil local government area.

Spokesman of the state fire service, Saminu Abdullahi said both of them were trapped in the water well they were contracted to excavate.
According to him, the son was in the well to clear the mud, only to be entrapped in the water.
Abdullahi added that his sixty-year old father then entered the well to rescue his son but was also trapped.
They were both brought out dead by the fire service operatives.
