Former spokesman of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization, chief Segun Sowunmi, has declared his interest in the Ogun state’s 2023 governorship race.
He indicated interest in the race at the PDP stakeholder’s forum held at Panseke, Abeokuta with leaders of THE Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) in attendance.
Several persons who spoke at the forum, including the chairman of IPAC, Samson Ogunsanya, urged Sowunmi to join the Ogun 2023 governorship race.
Ogunsanya asked the PDP to adopt Sowunmi as its 2023 governorship candidate if they want to win the poll.
Sowunmi, in his acceptance speech blamed the failure of the PDP to regain power from the APC on the prolonged infighting in the state chapter of the party.
According to him, he has all it takes to take the state to a higher level if voted for in the 2023 governorship poll.
