SECURITY: OGUN PLANS SUMMIT

A security summit is to hold in Abeokuta to address the spate of kidnapping, cultism and ritual killings in Ogun State between April 26 and April 28.

The security summit tagged, Gateway Secure Confab 22, is being organized by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in conjunction with Ogun State government.

The commandant of the Civil Defense College of Security Management, Abeokuta, Doctor Rachael Awosusi, announcing this at a news conference, said major stakeholders, including top military and police officers as well as those of the  state Amotekun corps and So-Safe corps, would attend the summit.

The conference, according to her, will discuss strategies to detect suspected criminal elements moving to new areas within the state and submit its report to Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The Ogun State NSCDC security and peace ambassador, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, says the summit will cover all sectors of the economy in the state with specific focus on security management for government establishments, corporate organisations and various communities.

Wahab explained that the summit will emphasize on management and solutions to security challenges by introducing relevant security innovations alongside traditional security measures for massive deployment in the state.
