Sanwo Olu Pledges Support For Lekki Deep Seaport

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has promised to provide support facilities for the newly completed $1.5 billion Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos.

He pledged that the support facilities including the proposed Lekki airport, six lane highway and others will receive expedited attention.

The Governor speaking at the ceremony marking the completion of Lekki Deep Sea Port project, said the port is capable of creating  200,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Sanwo Olu said roads leading to and from the port will keep receiving attention for evacuation of cargoes.

The port which was constructed by China Habour construction company within a record period of 27 months had been handed over  to its promoters, Tolaram Group.
