A 2023 presidential aspirant, Rotimi Amaechi, has identified the elite as the problem of Nigeria.
The transportation minister said the problems of Nigeria is not poor people in the northern or southern part of the country.

Rotimi Amaechi, speaking at the 2022 world press freedom day celebration in Uyo, said the elites are sponsoring the ongoing agitation for restructuring of the country.
According to the minister, the agitation is because the national resources which elites are sharing is fast disappearing because Nigeria is now broke.
He advised the electorate to vote right people capable of addressing Nigeria’s challenges in 2023.
