Robbery Suspect Freed After Three Years in Prison Custody

Ogun state high court, sitting in Abeokuta, has freed a suspected armed robber, after about three years in prison custody.

Kayode Emmanuel had been arraigned before the court since 2018 on an eight count armed robbery charge and has since been remanded in prison custody.

The counsel to the defendant, kayode Aderemi, had filed no case application.

Justice Rotimi Balogun in his ruling last Tuesday, upheld the application and discharged Emmanuel of all the eight count charges.

The defendant and his mother, Mrs. Adebayo, after the judgement prostrated and thanked the court for the judgement.
