Reps Seeks Criminalization Of Abandoning Of Newborn Babies
House of Representatives is considering a bill seeking to criminalize abandoning of newborn babies by their parents.
The Bill passed the second reading during the Tuesday plenary of the house.

Among several provisions, the bill stipulates a six month jail term or #200,000 fine, or both for those convicted of the offence.
The sponsor of the bill, Honorable Sergius Ogun in a lead debate on the bill said it seek a minor amendment of the Child Rights Act of 2004.
