Reps Accuse State Assemblies Of Holding Up Proposed Adjustment Of Revenue Allocation Formula
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has appealed to all the 36 State houses of assembly, to expedite the passage of the 44 alteration bills forwarded to them for consideration and approval.
Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo Agege, had accused the conference of speakers of the State assemblies of demanding the inclusion of four bills in the alteration bills before they will pass the bills in the ongoing constitutional amendments.

The house of reps speaker said the delay in passing the alteration bills by the State assemblies, is delaying the implementation of the new revenue allocation for the three tiers of Government.
According to Gbajabiamila, President Buhari and the National assembly are waiting for the passage of the alteration bills by the State assemblies to actualize the alteration in the responsibilities in the exclusive and concurrent lists of the 1999 constitution.
