Police Arrests Suspended Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner
Police arrests suspended Adamawa state resident electoral commissioner, Barrister Hudu Yunusa-Ari, for an alleged misconduct in the just concluded supplementary governorship poll in the state.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended him for declaring the APC candidate, senator Aisha Binani as winner of the poll,while the collation of results was still ongoing.
Since then, INEC said Yunusa-Ari, has not honoured its invitation, and has asked police to arrest him for prosecution.
The suspended INEC commissioner, was arrested on Tuesday in Abuja, by operatives of the police election planning, monitoring, and evaluation team.

He was picked up along with other top officials and individuals found culpable in the illegality perpetrated during the collation of results of the poll
Force spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said they were being interrogated for alleged improper acts during the poll.
According to him,the inspector general of police, Usman Baba, has assured that every individual involved or indicted in the matter would be arrested and investigated for possible prosecution.
