Police Arrest Armed Robbers at Ogun Company

Three suspected armed robbers have been arrested for attacking and robbing a company at Ogijo, on the Ikorodu-Sagamu road.

The suspects arrested over the robbery which took place at 02.45 am on Saturday were Shadrach Blessing, Edibo Peter, and  Dosuagwu Oyebuchi.

The suspects and others at large, according to the police scaled the fence of Ruthforth Service Limited, to gain access into its premises, then ordered the security guard to lie face down.

Spokesman of Ogun state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said a police team from the Ogijo police divisional headquarters on receiving a distress call on the attack mobilized to the scene.

According to him, on arrival at the company, the armed robbers had made away with four industrial batteries from the company, and escaped into the streets.

Three of them, according to Oyeyemi were arrested after a chase by the police and people in the area, while others escaped.

The state police commissioner, Lanre Bankole had ordered the transfer of the suspects to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for investigations.
