Petrol Crisis: NLC Asks Affiliates To Mobilize For Protests
Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has directed its affiliate unions to start mobilizing for a nationwide protests petrol crisis in the country.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, announced this during the solemn assembly of the Nigeria Union of Teachers in Abuja.
Wabba expressed concern that petrol crisis developed immediately after Federal Government had shelved its decision to remove petrol subsidy.

He regard the ongoing petrol crisis as part of moves to force the subsidy removal down the throat of Nigerians.
President Buhari had refused to yield to pressure from the Finance Ministry, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and the Nigerian Governors Forum to deregulate the prices of petrol.
Buhari had said that the petrol subsidy regime would remain in place until June 2023, after he leaves office.
