Obi Promises To End Frequent Strike In Public Universities
The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has promised to end the frequent strike by staff unions in public universities.
Obi promises to raise funding to the universities to reduce the crisis subjecting the public universities to frequent closures.

The candidate addressing a town hall meeting with youths in Port Harcourt also said if elected he would grant autonomy to public universities to enable them manage their resources.
He also said his administration would grant loans to university students and would not allow any dispute with lecturers to cause the closure of universities.
