PDP Suspends Fayose, Anyim, Refers Governor Ortom To Disciplinary Committee

The PDP has suspended former senate president, Pius Anyim, Ortom and former governor Ayodele Fayose for alleged anti-party activities.

Also suspended were professor Dennis Ityavyar and Aslam Aliyu

PDP national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba announced their suspension in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.

He adds that governor Samuel of Benue State was also referred to the PDP national disciplinary committee for alleged anti-party activities.

The governor, who is a member of the PDP G5 governors,  during the last February 25 and March 18 polls supported candidates of the Labour Party.

However, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party have approached the election tribunal to challenge the victory of the APC candidate.

Speaking on Tuesday in an interview, Fayose, who never supported Atiku, said the 2023 presidential election had “come and gone”, adding that those aggrieved were at liberty to approach the court.

Fayose had said, “I’m not desperate for any appointment. I’m somebody who will not cringe because of a piece of meal.

“I’m contented, but for anybody to say he would unseat Ahmed Bola Tinubu, you are daydreaming, it is a nightmare you are putting yourself through. That election has come and gone.

“In America, the former president is still saying he was rigged. He who comes to equity must have clean hands. Today, in Nigeria, that election has come and gone but you are at liberty to go to court.”
