The PDP national secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has cried out over the alleged plans by some desperate politicians to take him out in an assassination plot.
Anyanwu in a statement by his media aide, Ikenna Onuoha, alleged that some of his aide are also target of the assassination plot.

According to him, those involved in the plot vow to shut down the Imo state secretariat of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), destroy some public structures and hack down those identified with him.
He said the plot was hatched over the implementation of the recommendations of a committee set up by the national working committee to investigate the May 26 primaries for the Ahiazu Mbaise state constituency in Imo state.
Anyanwu said those plotting to kill him were not comfortable with the cancellation of the primaries and its rescheduling.
