A 50 year old pastor, Isaac Akinbola has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife with the assistance of two female members of his church.
In the process, the eight month old baby that the wife was carrying fell down and later died in a hospital.
The two women, Esther Olowolayemo and Oluwakemi Osinbajo are now in police net over the tragic incident which occurred at Mamu Ijebu on March 27.
The wife of the pastor, Dasola Akinbola told the police she had been having disagreement with her husband over his alleged romance with the two church members.

According to the wife, her husband visited her home at Ipinle axis of Mamu Ijebu on March 27, 2022 with the two suspected lovers, and they subjected her to a severe beating.
Spokesman of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the eight month old baby of the wife fell down from the hand of the wife.
According to Oyeyemi, the wife and the baby were rushed to a hospital at Oru-Ijebu, where it was discovered that the baby suffered internal injury when he fell down.
The baby died the following day while still receiving treatment.
