Oyetola Directs Political Appointees with 2023 Agenda to Resign

Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun state, has directed all political appointees in his administration seeking to contest in the 2023 polls to resign.

The governor, in a statement by the secretary to the state government, Prince Oluwole Oyebamiji, on Tuesday, says the directive is with immediate effect.

Oyetola asked affected political appointees to comply with his directive.

According to the governor, the directive is in compliance with section 84, sub section 12 of the electoral act 2022 and the timetable of the independent national electoral act.
