The royal council of Owu Obas has directed that the age long procedure of Owu culture should be strictly followed in the emergence of the new Olowu of Owu, Egba.
The council asks the Balogun of Owu, former president Olusegun Obasanjo to guide the Otileta ruling house to ensure they produce capable candidate for the emergence of the new Olowu.

The Olowu of Owu Kuta, Oba Adekunle Makama, Tegbosun the third, gave the directive in a statement issued after a meeting of the council held at the palace of Alawowo in Ogun state.
The council also asks Owu Obas to avoid frivolous leadership tussle with each other.
