Vice President Osinbajo has called for the launch of an ethical revolution by Nigeria’s political, business and religious elites at the Baptist Boys High School (BBHS), Abeokuta 100th Anniversary ceremony .

Osinbajo says that government must lead the proposed ethical revolution by rewarding ethical behaviours and speedily penalize misconducts.

The Vice President made the call on Tuesday while delivering a lecture to mark the centenary celebration of the Baptist Boys High School (BBHS), Saje, Abeokuta.

He asks religious elites to reinforce ethical direction by ensuring that wealth and influence are built through handwork and not by miracles, and that wealth, good order and building of institutions are not just miraculous occurrences.

Governor Dapo Abiodun in his address called on major stakeholders in the state to partner with his administration in further developing the state’s education sector.

The governor commends Baptist Boys High School (BBHS) for its continued growth over the past 100 years, thereby impacting on many societies worldwide.

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday led current and old students of Baptist Boys High School (BBHS), Abeokuta on an 18km walk round Abeokuta, as part of activities to mark the centenary celebrations of the school.

Obasanjo who was joined by the leadership of the old boys association, led by the National President, Prof. Kayode Oyesiku and large numbers of the current students entertained residents, motorists and passers-by on the walk.

They walked amid singing of the school anthem among other songs, through Oke Egunya, Igbore, Oke Igbein, and at Omida the palace of Oba Omolade.

Thereafter, the walkers moved to the Ibara Housing Estate, the residence of Soleye. Subsequently, the team took the walk again to Ake, the palace of Oba Gbadebo.
