Olusegun Obasanjo says He Has no Special Candidate but National Agenda

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo said he has no preferred candidate among the presidential candidates of the 2023 poll.

According to Obasanjo, he only has a national agenda which he will soon unveil.

Obasanjo spoke while fielding questions from newsmen in Minna, after paying a visit to a former head of state, General Abdusalam Abubakar at his uphill mansion in the Niger State capital.

He explained that his visit to Abubakar was because he is a little indisposed, adding that he would have visited him while in London.

Obasanjo however said Abubakar departed London the day he arrived the city.

From Abubakar’s residence, Obasanjo headed for the hilltop mansion of a former military president, General Ibrahim Babagida, also in Minna.

They held a close door meeting before leaving the state.

Obasanjo last week had met with labor party presidential candidate, Peter obi and Governor Nyesom Wike in London.

Before the London visit, Olusegun Obasanjo had received the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at his Abeokuta residence.

He had also hosted several presidential candidates of other political parties in his Abeokuta residence.
