A 23 year-old lady, Mary Olatayo is now in police net for allegedly selling her three week old baby for 600,000 naira in Ogun State.
Olatayo, resident of Mowe is in police detention along with the buyer of the baby, and one Chioma Ogbonna who led her to the buyer in Anambra State.
She was arrested on August 18, after the father of the baby boy reported her to the Mowe police divisional headquarters.

The suspect, during interrogation allegedly told the police that she sold her three week old baby to someone in Anambra State.
Spokesman of Ogun state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi says that the suspect told detectives she was led by one Chioma Ogbonna to the buyer of the baby in Anambra State.
She told the police that the 600 thousand naira collected from the buyer of the baby was shared equally with Chioma.
The father of the baby had told the police that the suspect was his girl friend and he rented an apartment for her when she became pregnant for him.
According to the lover, the suspect disappeared with the baby, three week after delivery from the rented apartment.
He told the police that the suspect was later tracked to a hotel with another man and confessed to the police after she was arrested, that the baby had been sold.
