Ogun To Recruit Security Guards For Public Primary And Secondary Schools

Ogun State Government is set to recruit security guards for the public primary and secondary schools across the state.

Education, Science and Technology Commissioner, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu said governor Dapo Abiodun had approved the recruitment of the security guards.

The commissioner made this known while receiving members of the newly elected state executive committee of the Acdemic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) in his office in Abeokuta.

He explained that the recruitment of the security guards would provide conducive academic atmosphere for teaching and non teaching staff, as well as students in the state’s public schools.

The commissioner promised that more teachers would be recruited to reduce the worload of existing teachers in the public schools.

Arigbabu also said teachers would enjoy more welfare packages if they continue supporting the state government to take education sector to a higher level.

Earlier, chairman of the association, Felix Agbesanwa said the visit was to intimate the commissioner about the emergence of the new executive.

He affirmed that the state’s education sector had experienced tremendous transformation, especially with the introduction of the Ogun State Education Revitalisation Agenda.
