Ogun to Introduce Adire Fabric as a Uniform for Public And Private School Students

Ogun state government says it plans to introduce Adire fabric uniform for students in public and private schools in the state.

Also, Adire fabric is to be included in the curriculum of schools in the state.

The governor also wants members of the national assembly and other public functionaries nationwide to adopt Adire fabric as an official attire for national events.

Abiodun said his administration would work with the national assembly to stop the importation of adulterated Adire into Nigeria.

According to the governor, fake Adire being produced by some foreign companies are causing monumental loss to local producers of the fabric in the state.

He commends the Ajose foundation for its initiative, asking youths to key into Adire production to reduce unemployment in the state.
