Ogun Summons Former Top Bureau of Lands’ Top Officials

Ogun State House of Assembly has summoned three of the former director generals of the state bureau of lands and survey over the alleged infraction uncovered in the agency’s 2015-2019 audit reports.

The invited former director generals are Biyi Ismail, Wale Osinowo, and Mrs. Jumoke Akinwunmi.

Others are Sobande Kolawole, and Usman Ojelabi, who served as directors of finance and accounts during the period, as well as, a former director of land, Fatai Adeboyejo.

The house public accounts and anti-corruption committee, Musefiu Lamidi, who issued the summons, during the Wednesday plenary of the house, said they are wanted to clarify some of the unresolved alleged financial infraction in the audit report of the bureau of lands within the 4-year period.

He directed the summoned former officials to appear before the committee on September 15, 2022, warning them against sabotage of the ongoing investigation of the agency.

The committee chairman also ordered those invited to provide all the files needed by the committee, when they appear before it on September 15 or they will be sanctioned.
