Ogun state government has inaugurated a committee to rid the state of herbalists and alternate medical practitioners involved in ritual killing.
The 42 member advisory committee of ogun state alternate medicine board was inaugurated on Monday by the board chairman, Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye in Abeokuta.
Olaleye worried over the spate of ritual killings in the state, said it was adversely affecting the socio-economic growth of the state.

He said the committee would not allow fake herbalists and miscreants to bastardize alternate medical practice in the state.
Among other functions, he tasked the committee to fish out uncertified traditionalists linked to money rituals, ritual killing, and other social vices.
Ritual killers have been on the rampage in the state in the past months causing panic among residents.
