Ogun state government says the 6.5 kilometre lafenwa-Rounder expressway in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, would be completed in July this year.
Works and infrastructure commissioner, Engineer Ade Akinsanya, who made this known, said asphalting of the road has begun.

The lafenwa-Rounder expressway project was one of the projects that Abiodun admnistration inherited from the Amosun Admnistration.
The commissioner said the road is regarded as a gateway to the state’s bread basket, bringing fruits, vegetable, and crops from Ayetoro, Ilara, and Imeko to the state capital.
He said a market close to the railway line at Lafenwa has been redesigned to prevent road accident in the area.
