Ogun Realizes Over N70bn IGR In Last Three And A Half Years

Ogun State Government has realized over N70 billion as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) between January and September 2022.

Governor Dapo Abiodun who made this known, said it was a follow up to last year when the state IGR for the first time exceeded N100 billion.

The governor spoke on the IGR at a town hall meeting for the Ogun East on the proposed 2023 budget and the 2023-2025 medium term expenditure framework strategy, on Monday at Ijebu Ode.

He said the IGR was an indication that the economy of the state was on a sustainable path.

The governor attributed the rise in the IGR on the quality of reform initiated by his administration, including Ogun State Land and Revenue Management System, Judicial and Tax Reforms.

Abiodun promises to deploy graders to all the state’s local government areas to embark on the grading  of their rural roads.

The governor also assured the audience that rehabilitation of the Ijebu Ode-Itele-Ilese road would soon begin.
