Ogun Plans By-Poll in Yewa North

A by-poll is to be conducted into the ward five of Ijoga/Iboro state constituency in Yewa north local government area of Ogun state.

The poll initially fixed for July 9, has been shifted to July 14, due to the Eid El Kabir festival.

Chairman of the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), Babatunde Osibodu, announced this at the council’s headquarters at Ayetoro, during a stakeholders meeting with leaders of the community and ward leaders of political parties.

He promised to provide a level playing field for all aspirants.

The Awujako of Ijako, Oba Mathew Ewedairo assured the OGSIEC chairman that the community would co-operate with the commission to make the poll hitch free.
