Ogun PDP Crisis Deepens, EFCC Asked To Probe Jimi Lawal Over Delegates List
The crisis in the Ogun State PDP is deepening, over which of its factions will have the final say on the conduct primary elections for the 2023 polls. In a fresh move, the Adebutu faction accused the party’s governorship aspirant, Otunba Jimi Lawal of forging the delegate list for its primaries in the state.
The faction, in its october 22 petition, asks the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to intervene, by investigating Jimi Lawal over the alleged forged list.
The list which the Adebutu faction is asking EFCC to investigate, was the one which a Federal High Court, Abeokuta, based its judgement upon, to cancel all the primary election and ward congresses conducted by the Ogun State PDP Exco for the 2023 polls.
