The state works commissioner, Ade Akinsanya told newsmen that Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the take off of the compensation in phases.

The commissioner faulted the Amosun administration, for the massive demolition of structures for the road  project, saying it has compounded the financial burden in term of compensating owners of the demolished structures.

He explained that the Abiodun administration had adopted the policy of reconstructing roads without demolishing buildings, except where necessary.
