Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) has elected a new executive to run its affairs in Ogun state for the next two years.

The new state chairman of Nigeria Medical Association is Doctor Azim Kunle Ashimi, a consultant surgeon at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba, Abeokuta.

He received one thousand and 71 votes out of 1,233 votes cast online last Friday, by members of the association in the state.

Others elected are Doctor Popoola Mutiu as the vice chairman, Doctor Adetonwa Festus as the general secretary, and Doctor Omotosho Adebola as the treasurer.

Also elected are Doctor Orire Israel as the public relations officer, Doctor Victor Okebalama as the deputy secretary general while the editor is Doctor Ambolu Patience.
