Ogun state government aims to boost the agricultural sector as it invites investors to establish cattle ranching in the state
Governor Dapo Abiodun made the call while receiving a delegation of the Ogun state chamber of commerce, mines, and agriculture led by its chairman, chief (Mrs) Alaba Lawson at the governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The governor said a French dairy firm had responded to his earlier call for investment in cattle ranching, by establishing a dairy farm in Odeda, near Abeokuta, for the production of milk and meat.

He also said that as ogun invites investors in cattle ranching, an investor he met during his recent visits to Ethiopia and Egypt is already in the state, collating data on the set-up of an agro-processing plant near the Ogun agro-cargo airport under construction at Ilishan-Remo.
Chief (Mrs) Lawson told the governor that the chamber of commerce intends to establish a cattle ranch in the state, requesting for land from the state government for the proposed project.
She said members of the chamber had visited France in connection to the proposed project.
The chamber chairman also formally invited the governor to the 2022 gateway trade fair which will hold in Abeokuta.
