Ogun in Talks with Federal Government over Ota-Abeokuta Road Project

Ogun state governor has re-opened talks with federal government over the deplorable condition of the Ota-Abeokuta segment of the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

Governor Dapo Abiodun just met with the works and housing minister, Raji Fashola, during which he submitted the proposal of his administration for the rehabilitation of the road.

Abiodun on his twitter handle, said submitted to the minister during the meeting, the financial partnership proposal of his administration on the road project.

According to the governor, the meeting was a follow-up to the one they held two weeks ago on the issue.

The governor had earlier joined his Lagos counterpart, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to meet president Buhari, requesting the handover of the entire stretch of the expressway to them, for rehabilitation and upgrading.

But federal government rejected the offer, opting to undertake the rehabilitation of the road.
