A governorship candidate of Action Peoples Party in Ogun State, Falana Owoshile, has asked the Independent Commission (INEC) to disqualift his ADC counterpart, Barrister Biyi Otegbeye from the 2023 governorship race.

Owoshile in his petition to INEC, called for the delisting of Otegbeye from the list of Ogun State governorship candidates for the polls.

His counsel, Olayemi Bakare, in the petition, threatens to take the electoral body to court, if it retains Otegbeye as the ADC candidate for the poll.

According to Owoshile, Otegbeye allegedly violated the electoral act 2022 by not resigning his membership of the APC before picking up the ticket of the ADC for the 2023 governorship poll.

Also, Owoshile alleged that Otegbeye when he was in the APC, contested for the party’s governorship ticket, and lost to Governor Dapo Abiodun during the party’s primaries.
