Ogun auditing Private and Public schools

Ogun state government is undertaking the auditing of all private and public primary and junior secondary schools across the state.

The census scheduled to end on July 1, is being undertaken under the national personnel audit programme of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

Executive chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Doctor Femi Majekodunmi allayed the fears of private school owners that the exercise is not for taxation.

Majekodunmi speaking while monitoring the exercise in some of the private and public schools in the Obafemi Owode local government area, says it will provide the board with a data bank of pupils, students and personnel in schools.

According to him, the board intends to get the total number of students, teachers and infrastructures in the schools.
