Ogun Approves Rehabilitation of Sango Ota-Agbado-Ojodu Roads

Ogun state government has approved the reconstruction of the 32 kilometre Sango Ota-Agbado-Ojodu expressway, near Lagos state.

It said contractors have been mobilized to immediately resume work on the project started by the Amosun administration.

Information and strategy commissioner, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile, told newsmen that the approval was given for the project during the August 1, 2022 meeting of the state executive council at the governor’s office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

Odusile said the meeting also approved the reconstruction of 7.5 kilometre stretch of Ota Toll Gate-Singer axis of the Ota-Abeokuta expressway project.

On the Sango Ota-Ojodu road project, the works and infrastructure commissioner, Ade Adesanya explained that the first phase will take care of 8.5 kilometre Sango Ota-Ijoko and 1.5 kilometre Yakoyo-Mr Biggs at the Lagos end of the expressway.

Adesanya promised that both Ota Toll Gate-Singer axis of the Ota-Abeokuta expressway and 10 kilometre of the 32 kilometre Sango Ota-Agbado-Ojodu expressway project would be completed by December this year.

The commissioner also said the council approved the construction of master drainage system for Abeokuta, the state capital, as well as  Ijebu Ode, Ilaro, and Sagamu.
