Ogun state Amotekun corps, has asked property owners in Ogun state to always screen potential tenants amidst the fresh clampdown on cultists and other criminal elements in the state by security agencies.
Among other checks, the agency asks the property owners to ensure that potential tenants provide credible guarantors to vouch for them.
The state Amotekun commander, retired police Commissioner David Akinremi, speaking in an interview with Rockcity FM correspondent, Yemi Eniola, said most of the cultists and other criminal elements ravaging the state are residing in rented homes.
Aderemi, said landlords who fail to report tenants who are cultists, kidnappers as well as armed robbers and parents who fail to expose their children who are involved in criminal acts, will have themselves to blame.
