Nyesom Wike Asks PDP to Give Him 2023 Ticket or Lose at the Polls

Governor Nyesom Wike has warned the PDP national working committee to allocate the party’s 2023 poll presidential ticket to him.

He warns the committee chairman, Doctor Iyorchia Ayu that the PDP would lose in the 2023 presidential poll, if the ticket is given to any other aspirants.

Wike, who made the demand during a visit to the PDP national headquarters of the party in Abuja, also told the working committee that they should campaign for him, ahead of the PDP presidential primaries.

He told Ayu that it is payback time, recalling how he masterminded the removal of the former PDP national working committee, to pave the way for his emergence as the national chairman.

Ayu, responding reminds Wike that the committee could not allocate the PDP ticket to him or campaign for him, but promises to endure a level playing field for all PDP aspirants.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state, has told rivers state counterpart, Nyesom Wike that he will lose if he contest in the 2023 presidential poll.

Ganduje, says he knows that Wike, who is a presidential aspirant on the PDP platform will be a good loser, because he has courage.

Governor Ganduje, bares his mind to Wike while receiving him and his campaign team at the government house in Kano.

He, however, appreciates the diversity of Wike’s campaign team and his belief in a united Nigeria.

Wike, responding says himself and other presidential aspirants would have stepped down, if Ganduje had joined the 2023 presidential race.

He asks for Ganduje’s support for his presidential aspiration while pleading with Nigerian elite to work for Nigeria despite their political affiliation.
