The National Population Commission is set to conduct a trial census version of the 2023 national census in 7,468 enumeration areas nationwide.
The full enumeration trial will be conducted in selected six local government areas from each of the country’s six geo-political zones.

The commission’s federal commissioner in Katsina state, Bala Lmu-Banye made this known in Katsina at the end of the training of primary trainers for the exercise in Katsina state.
According to him, 13,823 field enumerators have been recruited for the trial census.
They include 11,510 enumerators, 1,529 supervisors and 823 facilitators.
