National Population Commission (NPC) says it has demarcated 772 out of Nigeria’s 774 local government areas, for the conduct of the 2023 census exercise.
The commission’s chairman, Isa Kwarra, made this known in Abuja at a workshop organized for journalists assigned to cover the population census.

He listed local government areas whose boundaries are yet to be demarcated as Abadam in Borno state and Birnin Gwari in Kaduna state.
The NPC chairman told the workshop that the trial 2023 census will be conducted in June this year.
Ahead of the trial census, he says that the commission had already conducted the first and second pre-test exercise to test instruments to be used during the 2023 headcount exercise.
