The national working committee of the APC and the northern governors on its platform have jointly aborted moves by the national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu to give the presidential ticket to the senate president, Ahmed Lawan.
Seven members of the committee opposed the announcement of Lawan as the consensus candidate by Adamu at a meeting on Monday afternoon.
