NIMC Issues 3.4 Million NIN in Ogun, Nigeria’s Fourth Highest

Ogun state has recorded Nigeria’s fourth largest number of enrollment for the National Identity Number (NIN), 3.4 million, as at May 2022.

Also, data from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) indicates that males issued with NIN, outnumbered their female counterparts.

According to an update on NIN issuance, a total of 87 million had been enrolled nationwide into the national identity number as at last month.

Ogun state was fourth on the list of 36 states and federal capital territory, trailing Lagos, Kano, and Kaduna states.

A total of three million, 448 thousand, 222  were enrolled in Ogun state into the national identity number database at the end of last month.

Out of the enrolled 3.4 million, one million, 799 thousand, 534 are males, while one million, 648 thousand, 680 are females.

Lagos state tops the list with 9.468 million, Kano (6.93 million), and Kaduna state with 4.85 million.
