New Ogun Police Chief Resumes Duty, Asks Criminals To Have A Rethink, Or Relocate

Ogun state new Police Commissioner, Mustapha Alamutu, has resumed duty,  with a warning to criminal elements to have a rethink, or leave the state.

More so, he vowed that police under his leadership, would go  after cultists, ritualists, armed robbers and land grabbers in their various hideouts, and flush them out of the State.

However Alamutu, assuming duty on Wednesday, at the State Command Headquarters, Eleweran in Abeokuta,

said he was ready to tackle the threat of criminalities headlong, with every human and material resources at his disposal.

He promised to keep Ogun State secured,  where people could sleep with their eyes closed without fear, by building on the success recorded by his predecessors.

The Police Chief, who described the security challenges in the state, as difficult, said they were surmountable.

According to the new police chief, he was well acquainted with the security issues in all the nooks and crannies of the state,

having served in operational capacities in ogun state, during its early year of joining the force.

He recalled serving in Ogun State, during a period when cultism, armed robberies and other violent crimes, were at their peak in the state.

Alamutu listed some of the agenda of his policing strategy as enhanced intelligence gathering network, and prompt intervention in crime spots.
