Nigeria electricity regulatory commission (NERC) says that electricity tariff rate is to be reviewed every six months.
The review every six months, according to the commission’s chairman, Sanusi Garba, will reflect the exchange rate of the Naira to other currencies, as well as the rate of inflation.

He said the fresh review of the tariff rate took place on February 1st.
Over the last weekend, finance minister, Zainab Ahmed, revealed that all the subsidy in electricity tariff had been removed and that consumers are now paying appropriate tariff.
