NDLEA Uncovers New Drug More Deadly Than Cocaine, Tramadol And Morphine

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has uncovered plans to introduced a new deadly drug into the Nigerian market.

According to the agency, the drug named Fentanyl is one hundred times stronger than Cocaine and Tramadol, and 80 per cent than morphine.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, in a statement on Monday, says those promoting the drug seek to introduce it in powdery or liquid form with misleading labels.

He adds that the drug could come in form of nasal spray, eye drops or small candies, or could be mixed with prescription drugs.

Babafemi says the drug is responsible for over seventy per cent of deaths from drug overdose in the US.
