NDLEA Raids Warehouse In Ogun, Seizes 273 Jumbo Bags Of Indian Hemp

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have seized a huge volume of cannabis sativa from a warehouse at Ogere in Ogun state.

273 jumbo bags of the drug were seized during the raid on Saturday.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, in a statement on Sunday, said the seized cannabis weighed 3,533 kilogrammes.

Babafemi said that a couple, Mr and Mrs Jesutofunmi Solomon were picked up during the raid on the warehouse.

According to Babafemi, the raid followed the seizure of 176 kilogramme of cannabis sativa at the Ogere trailer park last Wednesday.

The NDLEA spokesman also said that the agency operatives also destroyed 15 hectares of cannabis plantation at Gbamgbam in the state.
