National Assembly To Pass 2023 Budget Before New Year-Senate

The National Assembly will pass the 2023 appropriation bill before the new year, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has assured.

Lawan made this known on Tuesday, at a reception organized to mark the National Honour of the General Commander of the order of Niger, conferred on him by President Buhari along with more than 400 others.

The Senate President said that debate on the bill was scheduled to begin today.

Buhari presented the bill to the National Assembly last Friday.

Lawan said National Honours were conferred on him and 11 other National Assembly members, because of the contributions of the Assembly to the development and political stability of Nigeria.
