Mob Loots Petrol Subsidy Palliative Rice in Kwara State Capital
A mob has attacked vehicles loaded with petrol subsidy palliative rice in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.
The mob looted bags of rice in the three vehicles on Saturday night, at Oja Oba-Isale Oja axis of the City.
The palliative rice loaded in three vehicles, were attacked by the mob while passing through the area to an undisclosed communities.
The palliative rice was one of the items purchased by the State Government with fund received from Federal Government to cushion the harsh effects of the petrol subsidy removal.
In Another News, Police have asked local security outfits to be on the lookout for herders who are on their way to Osun State.
The State Police Commissioner, Kehinde Longe said intelligence at his disposal indicates that herders from other states are migrating to the state to graze their cattle during the dry season.
The police chief issued the directive at a meeting he held with members of the Fulani Security Committees and local security outfits at the state police command in Osogbo.
He warned that the projected influx of the herders may be provide a cover for criminally minded people to disguise as herders.
