An Ado Ekiti high court has sentenced a man to die by hanging for raping and killing his landlady.
The convict, Tumuse Abraham was convicted for raping and killing his landlady, Bukola Olanrewaju at her home in Adebayo axis of the Ekiti state capital in 2019.

The prosecutor told the court that the convict broke into the room of the woman when her husband and children were not at home.
According to the prosecution, he threatened the woman with a cutlass, tied her up before raping and killing her.
Justice Bodunde in his ruling said the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt, and sentenced him to death by hanging.
